4 Ways to Stay Focused on Your Dreams

1. Know that your Opportunity can take time….

A Stopwatch

We all want instantaneous gratification and instantaneous results. Most businesses take 3 – 5 years to just break even much less make profit (perhaps except if you’re in a Network Marketing business). True….to win in business you need to be an expert and that takes 10,000 hours! Others have said it takes 25 years to become an overnight success.

Today you hear of tech start ups taking a mere 1 – 2 years to make huge amounts of profit but not all. In my own businesses, some has taken me time to learn, grow and sometimes just some plain old common sense to make it work. Rome was not built in a day, enjoy the journey, what you’ll learn is more valuable with time than any amount of money you’ll earn.

2. Don’t get side tracked with other BIG opportunities
I can’t tell you how many people on a daily basis, from around the world, offer me opportunities that’s THE NEXT BIG THING, like I don’t have enough on my plate already running 3 separate businesses! I always say to my audience at my seminars – if someone else has done it, why can’t you. If someone else has become a 7 figure income earner and producer, why can’t you? If you don’t know how to do it, go and learn. Read books, listen to videos, associate with the right people, and do it quickly.

Ask yourself these questions; is that opportunity in line with my destiny? Is that opportunity MY opportunity or am I building someone else’s’ asset column? Who owns the product? Who controls MY time and income? Your business may be taking a while but with all those BIG opportunities you still have to work it, work you could be putting into your OWN business.

3. Realize you might need to help
Words from one of my mentors, ‘ask for help, not because you’re weak, but because you want to remain strong, ask and don’t stop until you get it’. In one of my signature seminars I ask my audience WHO can help you get where you want to be, where are they and can you get to them? Find a way!

Some people are too ashamed or afraid to ask for help, they think it makes them look weak. Well there is a proverb that says ‘We have not because we ask not’, and that is so true for most people. Get back into the habit of asking for help if you don’t know how to do something in your business.

4. Mind your OWN Business

Oh this is my mother’s mantra! She would tell us all the time, all 11 of us; ‘Mind your OWN Business! 100% FOCUS is all your need with 90% Cultura Image sync Capture/Cortex - may have been withdrawn. VUN
excitement about your OWN business, product, service, plans, forecasts, partners and yourself.

When you stand up to speak at a networking event, people should never forget you. You pitch, your posture and your passion in what you are selling, promoting or presenting. As a business owner, focus on your own business, what value you give and the price for that value. Give more value than you get paid for and ‘Mind your OWN Business.’
